This is a personal blog that explores how we think, learn, manage our world, and succeed. It’s for everyone interested in the unexpected ways everything is connected, with a focus on beauty, simplicity, and life.
I write from my unique blended background of the arts and technology, from philosophy to technical consulting. The topics you’ll find in this blog range from music and design to strengths and talents to getting things done and a whole lot of other things, with a little technology included.
Who is Paul?
After graduating from college cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I embarked on a career in high-tech. I’ve been a webmaster since 1994 (when we had to build every web server by hand), and I’ve been blogging continuously since 2001. After a successful 14-year career working in IT, now I work as a consultant for a large tech company, traveling all over the country helping complex organizations get the most out of their IT services.
I am interested in other creative topics, too. I always link to my projects from my main site. I’ve got a photography collaboration with my friend, Melinda Miller, called Every Week. I’m putting select other photos into a central gallery. And my dogs have started their own blog called, aptly enough, Dogs with Blogs.
I grew up in the Deep South. Now I’ve made my home with my wife and our pets in the Rocky Mountain West for nearly half my life.
You can write me any time. I’m interested in what you think about what I write.
